Lubec, Maine
In 2004, for a multitude of reasons, I left NJ and moved to Maine, embarking on a new chapter in my life. I didn't go to southern or central Maine, where all the high paying IT jobs are. Nope, I went as far east as you can go in the continental United States. Lubec, America. And I'm glad I did.
Meet "Koda"
My name is Ginny Morano, owner/operator of KodaYoda Enterprises, LLC. By now you must have figured "Koda", short for Dakota, is my four-legged friend and much loved canine companion. She is a husky mix with brown eyes and floppy ears and loves to swim. She is living the good life in Maine. At times, those ears stick out to the sides, like Yoda from Star Wars...are you starting to put it all together now? I don't know of many entrepreneurs who name their businesses after their dog but I assure you, I had a good reason.
As for me, well I used to be an IT geek working for large corporations in NJ. Way back in 1983, I received my diploma from Brick Computer Science Institute for Data Processing Equipment Repair, just a couple of years after IBM introduced the first Personal Computer. I spent the next twenty years working with computers, networks and software. I was lucky in that I got to work with some brilliant (and not so) people. From those gruff, old "Ma Bell" phone guys who taught me everything about wiring and datacom (a la networks) to those weird but smart twenty-somethings that could write awesome code all night but couldn't show up for work on time.

I guess I am still sort of a computer geek but I don't work for big corporations anymore. Instead, my focus is on smaller companies and individual users. Problem solving and teaching people to use the computer as a tool, that's what I enjoy now. Not to mention, it pays the bills too.
There is more to our story, so check back again to see what's new with me and Koda. Oh, by the way, if you were in need of computer help do as Koda would...Howl for Help!
